Prospect “Purple”
When coach Cedric Hebert, known as “coach C,” brought his two baseball teams together for a tournament, it was hard to stop them. Hebert, a former minor league pitcher, separately coaches two teams: 11U Prospect Blue and 11U Prospect Red. It was spring break, and the players who were in town and available eagerly joined coach C for the tournament. The boys named their makeshift team Prospect Purple because red and blue together make purple. The team’s name symbolized the unity of the two teams coming together to play as one. Prospect Purple went 4-0 in the tournament, displaying their skills, teamwork, and passion for the game.
