Jingle all the way

For the 45th year in a row, the Christian Community Service Center’s (CCSC) Jingle Bell Express community event helped make Christmas merry for families in the community. A months-long volunteer effort to collect toys, books, and gift cards resulted in more than 2,600 underserved children receiving Christmas gifts and dinner with their families. In early December, parents arrived at the donation site to collect toys and H-E-B gift cards to help give their families a happy holiday. Books were donated by the Ladies for Literacy Guild – Barbara Bush Houston Literacy Foundation, toys were donated by the Ladies of Houston Charity, and Bellaire United Methodist Church graciously hosted the event.
