In their dancing era
The Steel Magnolia Moms celebrated the holiday season with a festive soiree at Sawyer Station HTX. Steel Magnolia Moms founder and executive director Elizabeth Elder and board president Liz Maberry (pictured, from left) enjoyed the ninth annual party with 100 other moms at the Taylor Swift-themed event, In Our Dancing Era. Steel Magnolia Moms is a support group for mothers of children with special needs. The group focuses on the unique needs of moms as caregivers, and the holiday party was a chance to Shake It Off for a night of fun with other moms who truly understand the joys and challenges that come with raising a child with special needs. Each year, Elizabeth Elder creates a handmade ornament for the moms to take home from the party. This year, each Steel Magnolia Mom left with a shiny disco-ball ornament adorned with a red ribbon.
