As a freshman, coming into a new school, new faces, and a bigger community can be quite scary and extremely intimidating. I am sure everyone can agree on that. However, things can be a little easier coming in if you have gotten any advice from someone who was already in your place a few years back.
Haley Emerson, a 2014 graduate of Episcopal High School, said that freshman shoud: “Take advantage of what your high school has to offer. You need to try new things like clubs, sports, or arts. I played field hockey my freshman year, never playing it before, and made many friends, and some are still my best friends four years later.”
Going to high school with plenty of new faces and changes is challenging and difficult at times, but with the right attitude, the transition should flow easily.
