Spinning for GAN
Emily Paré, a Tanglewood resident who’s an indoor-cycling spin instructor, wanted to spend her birthday doing something for someone else. So she decided to raise money for Hannah’s Hope Fund, which raises money for research about giant axonal neuropathy (GAN), a rare and fatal degenerative disease. Emily reached out to the Clark family for help, as they created fundraising organization Justin’s TRIumph after their 13-year-old son Justin and 9-year-old daughter Lexi were diagnosed with GAN. Ultimately, Emily pulled together a “Spin-a-thon” to benefit GAN research. It took place this summer at My Indoor Cycle. Participants of the Spin-a-thon included some of Emily’s coworkers from Lululemon Athletica at Houston CityCentre and members of the Clark family. Pictured (from left) are Kathy Maldonado, Emily Paré, Emily McGowan, Lucia Casas, Alex Hein, Ashley Thomas, and (front row) Lexi Clark. Check out upcoming events to benefit GAN at justinstriumph.org.
