Flip flops for camp
Kids often head home on the last day of camp having gained lasting friendships, improved social skills, new interests and memories. But in addition to the cost of attending camp, the packing list can be costly. So Star of Hope summer intern Cassi Tullier, pictured (from left) with Trees of Hope associate Katie Adams and Gwen Koch, Trees of Hope executive director, was thrilled to accept a donation from Trees of Hope for more than 100 pairs of flip flops for needy kids heading off to camp. This is the second year that Trees of Hope Guild volunteers have purchased flip flops for the campers. Trees of Hope is seeking donations to provide shoes for all children of Star of Hope for the new school year. See treesofhopehouston.org.
