Breaking new ground
Condit Elementary School moms Holly Koehn and Peggy Chang (pictured, from left) were at the groundbreaking for the new school building and celebration of the school’s 100th anniversary. The school will have a new 88,000-square-foot facility, which is part of HISD’s 2012 bond program. Representatives from the Bellaire Historical Society presented a historical perspective of the school, and the Condit student choir performed. Bellaire mayor Phil Nauert, HISD trustee Mike Lunceford and Condit principal Dan Greenberg also spoke at the groundbreaking. Read more about the plans at conditpto.org.
