The holidays are arguably the busiest time of the year. And yet, Jonathan Sharp managed to find time in the midst of all the festive mayhem to pull off a magical proposal to longtime girlfriend and Buzz Magazines account manager Darsey Swaim. On Dec. 27, Jon suggested a visit to the Field of Light installation at Discovery Green. As the couple wandered among the 4,500 illuminated glass spheres and stems, Jon seemed distracted. Unfazed, Darsey suggested they go to the middle of the installment to admire the bulbs. Jon took a knee and proposed. As Jon brought Darsey into The Grove restaurant after for dinner, she realized that the big moment had been witnessed not only by cheering Discovery Green visitors but also by family. Both of their families, including parents Brent and Laurie Swaim, brother Eric Swaim and Jon’s parents, Diana and John Sharp, were inside waiting to join them for dinner and celebration.  A family friend, Susan Raine, was also secretly snapping photos of the couple the entire time.
