The City of West University and Monogram Residential Trust teamed up to host the first-ever West U Arts and Jazz Recess benefiting the Houston Arts Alliance. Local NBC anchor Rachel McNeill emceed the day of creativity as families enjoyed student performances from Writers in the Round, Jazz Educations and Harmony Public Schools. Attendees browsed art exhibits, participated in arts and crafts, and enjoyed free arts, voice and music lessons. Event sponsors were Kroger, Bering’s, Allusion West University, Muse at Museum District and the Arts Institute of Houston.
