Lost in France
For three weeks, Anna and Zach Hodges drove through France, after starting at Giverny. Daughter Emily Hodges met them in Paris for the last week. In Bayeux, they stayed four days in a country chateau. The drive through the Loire Valley, a market in Sarlat, the Cro-Magnon caves in the Dordogne region and the Provence markets were some of the highlights. One night they were totally lost in the dark, outside Sarlat in the countryside at a dead end. They spied lights in a house and ventured toward it. A couple came outside in their pajamas and robe, and the husband led them to their bed-and-breakfast destination. De’liverance.
