Donna Hemmi, Karen Smith and Mills Toomey (pictured, from left) co-chaired this year’s Ronald McDonald House event “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun,” which raised $110,000. The theme was Leather & Lace, and more than 550 attendees spent the evening being pampered, shopping and dancing at the Omni Houston. Proceeds from the event benefit the thousands of children and families who call Ronald McDonald House Houston home each year. RMH Houston operates 86 bedrooms within the Texas Medical Center at a freestanding House on Holcombe and also inside Texas Children’s Hospital, MD Anderson Children’s Cancer Hospital and Children’s Memorial Hermann Hospital to serve the families of critically ill children.
