A tri-umphant day

Team Justin’s TRIumph team members

Over 2,800 kids completed what organizers called the world’s largest kids triathlon at the University of Houston. The 4^th annual Houston Texans Kids Triathlon didn’t let the rain or the closure of the campus indoor pool stand in their way. Instead they just used an Olympic-sized inflatable pool. Bellaire Friends came together to help fellow residents, Lexi and Justin Clark, who have a rare and serious disease, giant axonal neuropathy (GAN). Team Justin’s TRIumph over GAN raced and raised over $3,600. Kids Triathlon also is contributing to Hannah’s Hope Fund, a non-profit whose mission is to find a cure for GAN. Special recognition goes to Quinn Harrison, who placed second in the 10-year-old boys X-Class Division (for kids who have completed a triathlon before) and Zoe Howell, who was the third highest fundraiser for Team Justin’s TRIumph.
