Ingredients
1 box Angel Food Cake mix (makes about 40 cupcakes)
1 Cool Whip container for frosting 40 cupcakes
1 cup strawberries cut into quarts
40 cupcake liners
Red and blue food dye or sprinkles (optional)
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Prepare Angel Food Cake mix according to the directions. Spoon the batter into cupcake liners, about ¾ full. (Tip: Use a soup ladle to help spoon the batter into the liners). Bake for 8 minutes until the top is slightly colored/not brown anymore. Allow to cool completely. Frost each cupcake with about 2 tablespoons Cool Whip and garnish with strawberries. For a more patriotic look, dye Cool Whip red or blue or garnish with sprinkles!
