Preheat the oven to 450 degrees. Coarsely chop the cheese and stuff into the cavity of each date. Wrap each stuffed date with a bacon strip and secure with a wooden pick. Place on a baking sheet and bake for 10 to 15 minutes or until the bacon is crisp, turning once during cooking to ensure even browning. Carefully remove the pick and serve hot or at room temperature.
