Need a refresher? Frosé is it!

Ingredients: 

½ cup sugar
½ cup water
½ cup chopped strawberries
750 ml bottle rosé, cold
1 cup ice
Juice from ½ lemon

Recipe directions: 

Make a simple syrup by boiling the sugar and water, stirring until the sugar dissolves. Remove the simple syrup from the heat, and stir in the strawberries. Let the strawberries steep in the syrup for 30 minutes. Remove the strawberries and use them for something else (over ice cream?). Chill the syrup in the refrigerator until it has cooled, about 30 minutes. 

Fill a blender with the rosé, ice, lemon juice and ¼ cup of the simple syrup. Blend everything together until it is the consistency of a slushee. Taste; you might want to add a little more simple syrup if you want the frozé sweeter, or you might need to add a little more ice to make the drink icier. If you do add anything, blend it all again. Serve with straws.
