Protein Patty

Karina Arnold made these protein patties for a post-leg day breakfast. These patties kept her full throughout class and aided in muscle repair after an intense gym session. Karina recommends adding granola for an extra crunch and for more carbs. The nut butter acts like a “glue” to keep the fruits and granola on the patty. 

Ingredients

½ cup egg whites
1 scoop protein powder (Karina used Chocolate Vega Protein Powder)
Fruits, nut butter, granola, honey or seeds to garnish

Directions

Whisk egg whites with protein powder and pour into a greased skillet. Like a pancake, cook each side evenly. When egg whites have set, remove from heat and garnish with fruits, granola and nut butter.
