Roasted and Honeyed Figs
Figs, when they’re ripe, are heavy and syrupy, sweet and jammy, and dangerously easy to snack on. There’s not a much more perfect fruit than a ripe-to-the-point-of-bursting fresh fig.
8 figs (any variety, just choose the ripest ones you can find)
1 tablespoon honey
Greek yogurt (right now we are loving Nounós and Ellenos)
Grape Nuts cereal (or granola)
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. Slice the stems off the figs, then the figs into quarters. Place the figs in a small, glass baking dish and toss with the honey. Roast for 15 minutes.
Serve the figs spooned over yogurt with Grape Nuts sprinkled on top, and another drizzle of honey if you wish.
