Bubba’s Burger Shack

Bubba’s Texas Burger Shack is a longtime place that serves burgers in the oddest of locations – the shadow of the 59/Loop 610 exchange, under the bridge on Westpark at South Rice near the Sam’s Club and Micro Center. Prepared nicely at medium, its classic, no-frills burger patties glisten with a welcome charred crust. The burgers, including beef and buffalo options, are juicy to the bite with the right amount of seasoning, and a bright yellow coating of cheddar cheese melts evenly over the side. The burger is presented on a golden toasted bun with iceberg lettuce, chopped onion and light mayo. While they do not offer French fries, you must try a side of their specialty jalapeño potato salad. While their “under the bridge” location is popular, check their food truck schedule on their Facebook page to enjoy the same burger with a shorter wait time.
