Canyon Creek Café

The Creek family of restaurants, originating in Austin, have sprouted up around Houston Heights. They include Canyon Creek Cafe on the northeast end of Memorial Park on Westcott. Canyon Creek has a full menu of burgers. I ordered the Luckenburger. The 44 Farms Angus beef was topped with a tangy blend of over-easy egg, Applewood smoked bacon, white cheddar cheese and chipotle mayo. I added a side of creamy, spicy poblano slaw instead of the fries. Canyon Creek’s Hill Country setting is outfitted in bar signs and nostalgic memorabilia, in a popular part of town. Ample outdoor seating is available on their front patio.
