Situated in a neighborhood strip center, this simple café with counter ordering is a pleasant surprise. They have a varied menu that includes healthy entrees, Mediterranean favorites, smoothies and, for me, an Angus Beef Burger. I choose the bakery-fresh wheat bun, cheddar cheese, fresh leafy lettuce, onion and light mayo. The meat comes out sizzling, steaming and flavorful. Great place for families and kids.

Some places are worth revisiting. Island Grill offers a varied menu that includes healthy entrees, Mediterranean favorites, smoothies, juices and, for me, an Angus beef burger. I customized my burger with the bakery-fresh wheat bun, cheddar cheese, fresh leafy lettuce, onion and light mayo. The thick and juicy meat came out sizzling, steaming and flavorful. A great place for families and kids, Island Grill now has three locations, Bellaire, Memorial and Tanglewood.
