Hi! My name is Anjali Martinez, and I am a junior at Carnegie Vanguard High School. My love of writing came from the dim lighting of my second grade English classroom. One of our assignments was to write a poem, something so foreign to me at the time. But ever since, I have become hooked on the power and beauty words can hold. I am excited to join the Buzz Magazine because I believe journalism holds an element of truth, which is the core of writing to me. Apart from writing, I also am the lead singer of a jazz band, and enjoy running in my neighborhood. I can’t wait to represent Carnegie Vanguard for the Buzz this year!
