40 shades of green

That’s how the lush hillsides of Ireland looked to Byron and Roz Cooley and Will and Kathy Wiener. The couples stayed in the Dromoland Castle on a Tauck tour from the jagged Cliffs of Moher to the lunar landscape of The Burren. They sang to Irish ballads while sipping Guinness in pubs and toured the Kylemore Abbey, Waterford factory and 12th-century cathedrals. On the intellectual side they saw Trinity College Library with the Book of Kells and 2,000-year-old manuscripts. After a climb up 100 steep, narrow steps they kissed the Blarney Stone and were thankful they survived the winding roads shouldered by tall hedges.
