Art and Ice
That’s right – this weekend, the Museum of Fine Arts Houston will be transformed into a winter wonderland with an ice-skating rink. Enjoy the final weeks of the exhibition “Monet and the Seine: Impressions of a River” plus ice skate. See all the details here.
Johnny Steele Dog Park Grand Opening
This Saturday afternoon, the new Johnny Steele Dog Park in Buffalo Bayou Park officially opens. The two-acre area includes fenced-off large and small dog ponds, a wetland area, dog washing spaces, shade structures, lighted areas, and tons of new parking surrounding the area. The grand opening celebration includes family – and animal-friendly activities, such as a Strut your Mutt doggie fashion show, a dog “kissing booth,” a dog and dog-owner look-alike contest, dog food samples, a doggie lounge area, on-site pet adoptions, giveaways and more.
