Reporting live
The Buzz Magazines’ School Buzz blog launched last fall and, since then, nearly 50 local high school students have taken the opportunity to showcase what’s going on at their schools. They’ve covered academics, arts and theater, clubs, sports, fashion, school trips, school news, student opinions and more. The Buzz celebrated the successful first year of School Buzz at Island Grill. Students from different schools got to know each other over strawberry smoothies, hummus and pita chips, burgers and fries, and, as a party favor, bundtlet cakes from Nothing Bundt Cakes. Some 2014-15 School Buzz correspondents celebrating a great year are (back row, from left) Mark Cox, Matt Gregg, Scott Kennedy, Erin Rice, (front row, from left) Emily Hallmark, Cyrus Pacht, Grace Armstrong, Mackenzie Ward and Sena Sarikaya. To hear student correspondents tell what it was like to contribute to the blog this year, see their video at thebuzzmagazines.com. Or, are you in high school and love to write and take photos? Go to The Buzz website and look for School Buzz.
