Happy Friday! Here are a few events to look forward to this (hopefully not rainy) weekend!
Bellaire Recycles Fest
Reduce, reuse and recycle – and have fun! – at the 7th annual Bellaire Recycles Fest on Saturday near City Hall. The day will include kids’ activities, educational information, and local businesses promoting green-friendly goods and services. Organizations will also collect items for reuse such as metals, car batteries, data shredding, etc. See all the details here.
The Jewish Book Fair
The annual Ann and Stephen Kaufman Jewish Book & Arts Fair continues this weekend. Events take place through Nov. 17. Every day, there are various events feature Jewish litearature, films, theatre and concerts. This weekend, events include Wrestling Jerusalem: A Play on Saturday and Oliver Lapin Family Day on Sunday, featuring kids’ book readings, fun literary projects, music, crafts and guest author appearances. Houston Center for Contemporary Craft’s Hands-On Houston Family Festival
Houston Center for Contemporary Craft celebrates wood crafts on Saturday with family-friendly, hands-on activities, demonstrations by local artists, food and refreshments and more. Activities include assembling a wooden toy car and live woodworking demonstrations. See the details.
Taste of Texas Craft Beer & Wine Festival
Head toward the water for a relaxing day of wine and beer tastings and live band performances. This first annual festival will be held on Saturday starting at 2 p.m. at the Waters Edge Venue in Seabrook. See the details.
Houston Margarita Festival
Cheers to the weekend at the Houston Margarita Festiva! There’ll be music, a salsa competition, food, and more than 19 margarita flavors. Note: The festival has now been moved to Sunday, 12-10 p.m., Sam Houston Park because of the weather. See the details.
