St. Agnes Academy's Varsity swim team placed first at the TAPPS state championship.
Over the weekend, JV softball placed second in the Houston Christian tournament, Varsity lacrosse went 5-0 in the Santa Barbara Shoot Out, the Tiger Girls dance got runner up at the Crowd Pleasers West Houston Regional competition and Varsity swimming won the state championship!
The Tiger Girls won in kick, lyrical and military entries. The Tiger Girl elite teams, Remix and Shock, won first place in kick, lyrical, hip hop, and pom. They took home the outstanding choreography award for the military and elite lyrical routine. The Tiger Girl elite lyrical also won the crowd pleaser award for audience appeal. The military officer line and social officers both placed third in their routines. Sakura Gray and Brenna McKay, both seniors, placed second in their contemporary duet. Brenna McKay also placed second in the senior solo division. Overall, the Tiger Girls placed second and the Tiger Girls elite teams placed first!
The Varsity swim team placed first at the TAPPS state championship. Fernanda Machicao, Bridget Hibbler, Isabella Smith, and Lilli Metts took the silver in the 400 free relay. Lilli Storemski, Isabella Smith, Lilli Metts, and Anastasia Kontrimas placed second in the 200 free relay. Fernanda Machicao, Sarah Steffes, and Rachel Wright all set personal records in the 100 fly and placed third, fourth, and seventh. Isabella Smith won the 50 free with Bridget Hibbler right behind her in second. Anastasia Kontrimas, Bridget Hibbler, Fernanda Machicao, and Lilli Storemski won the 200 medley relay breaking the St. Agnes record with a time of 1:52.02.
