Barbara and Martin Bronstein (pictured) plan to get into the Kinky Friedman spirit as host committee members of "An Evening with Kinky Friedman" benefiting Congregation Beth Jacob Galveston. Kinky Friedman, the Texas country singer, songwriter, humorist, cowboy and also mystery writer, will be center stage on March 26 at 8 p.m. at the 1894 Grand Opera House in Galveston. He will perform songs from his 40-year music career, plus selections from his new CD, The Loneliest Man I Ever Met. Tickets cost $45-100. See thegrand.com.
