Event Roundup: What to Look Forward to This Weekend

Happy Friday! Here are some events to look forward to this weekend.
Houston Tri Delta sorority alumnae will present their annual fundraiser, The Sale, a 2-day charity shopping event Jan. 7-8 at Bayou City Event Center benefiting Texas Children’s Cancer Center. Find designer clothing, jewelry, shoes and accessories, gifts and home décor from more than 50 Houston boutiques.
Head to the island to dine for a good cause during Galveston Restaurant Week, Jan. 7-22. More than 30 restaurants will participate with prix-fix lunch and dinner menus ($20-$35). A portion of the proceeds will be donated to Access Care of Coastal Texas to provide lunches for patients living with HIV or AIDS.
Cirque de la Symphonie has choreographed their captivating performances to popular film scores performed by the Houston Symphony, including selections from Pirates of the Caribbean, Harry Potter, West Side Story, Titanic, Chariots of Fire and Star Wars.
Holiday Season Events
Sad that the holiday season is winding down? There’s still time to enjoy Zoo Lights, The Ice at Discovery Green, Ice Land, Festival of Lights and Magical Winter Lights before these festive holiday events close for the season.
