Rise to victory
The sophomore-division Longhorns (pictured) pose with mustaches to celebrate their Southwest Football League championship. The third- and fourth-grade boys defeated the Mustangs, 41-8, in the league’s final game. After finishing the regular season with a 3-3-2 record, the Longhorns became an unstoppable force in the playoffs, with big wins in each of the games. Coach Staton Childers credits the boys’ focus, effort and hustle for their success at the end of the season.
