Crowd control
Mary Reed, a world geography teacher at Memorial High School, had 15 students join her with their parents at the Inauguration at the Capitol. They left the hotel in the dark Friday morning to wait in very long lines. Security was tight, with two checkpoints to enter the National Mall, where there were large screens that showed people in the crowd. The students attended either an inaugural ball with a live band for teens or the Texas Ball via Rep. John Culberson. When Mary visited the gravesite of her parents in Arlington National Cemetery, there were green wreaths with red bows on every single grave. Her father was a colonel in the army. While the nation was restless, they were resting in peace.
