Kick back and relax, the weekend is (finally) here. Summer is in full effect and there’s plenty to keep you busy around town. Here are a few events going on:
Astros vs. Angels
This weekend, the Houston Astros open up a nine-game home stand with a three-game series against the LA Angels. The Astros recently had an 11-game winning streak and currently hold the best record in MLB baseball. Currently, the Astros have a player in the top five vote-getters for the MLB All-Star game at every position except the outfield, where George Springer and Carlos Beltran are seventh and eighth, respectively. Root for the Astros this Friday at 7:10 p.m., Saturday at 3:10 p.m. and Sunday at 1:10 p.m. Read about Buzz-area families who go the distance for the love of baseball here.
Bands on the Sand at Moody Gardens
