The Post Oak Little League Baby Cakes (pictured) won the Minors division championship with a 10-9 win over the Lake Monsters. Fourth and fifth graders, the Baby Cakes spent most of the regular season in second place and eventually finished first in their division. During the playoffs, the boys played all the way to the championship game. It was a tough game, and the Lake Monsters went ahead in the middle innings. The Baby Cakes rallied and scored five runs in their last at-bat for a great come-from-behind win. The champs are (top row, from left): David Capobianco, Grayson Smith, Connor Walsh, Ben Barnett, Lyndon Huang, Oliver Oldham and coach Andrew Montgomery; (bottom row, from left): coach Marty Weber, Jack Weber, coach Rick Doughtie, William Doughtie, Drew Montgomery, Ryan Stinneford, coach Todd Barnett, Stephen Gil and Eli Saldana Kowalchuk.
