World’s Championship Bar-B-Que Contest
More than 250 barbecue teams will head to NRG Park to compete in the World’s Championship Bar-B-Que Contest, Thursday-Saturday. Most of the team tents are invite-only but visitors can enjoy a complimentary sliced brisket plate with chips and beans from the Chuck Wagon, live music daily at The Garden Stage and the Rockin’ Bar-B-Que Saloon.
2018 Rodeo Run
Run for a good cause this Saturday morning downtown at the annual Rodeo Run.
Rodeo Parade
Celebrate the start of rodeo season with the annual downtown parade on Saturday morning. The parade route begins at Bagby and Walker Streets, travels from Travis to Bell Street, and from Bell Street to Louisiana Street, before turning on Lamar Street, and ends at Lamar and Bagby. The 2018 Grand Marshal is Dave Ward.
Art in the Park
Families will enjoy a rodeo-themed Art in the Park on Saturday morning. Wear your cowboy boots and look forward to rodeo horse cutouts.
Texas Lunar Festival
Celebrate the Year of the Dog at the 22nd Annual Texas Lunar New Year Celebration on Saturday, a family-friendly festival including performances, food and more.
