Hungry to help out your community? Head to one of Houston’s more than 250 restaurants participating in Houston Restaurant Weeks, Aug. 1- Sept. 3. Jurassic Quest at NRG Park
Dinosaur lovers will surely enjoy this afternoon of fun-filled activities at NRG Park on Friday. The event features over 100 life-sized dinosaurs as well as several interactive baby dinosaurs. Other activities include science stations, crafts, dinosaur rides, and fossil digging.
Party at the Pavilion
Grab your lawn chairs and blankets and enjoy a relaxing night of music at Bellaire Town Square with this free concert by The Houston Brass Band. Head to the the Pho-Jita food truck nearby before the performance starts to get some food.
Dive-In Movie Series at Colonial Park Pool
Bring the family to West U’s Colonial Park for a free screening of Pixar’s movie Wall-E. Cool off in the pool or lounge on the lawn while you watch the show (regular pool admission prices apply).
Houston International Jazz Fest
Enjoy two nights of jazz music at Houston’s International Jazz Fest. The first night will be held at Sugar’s in Missouri City, while the second night will take place downtown at the House of Blues.
White Linen Night at The Heights
Throw on your best white linen outfit and head to The Heights to enjoy an evening of food, activities, and art. This annual event features over 30 local businesses and over 60 local artists, giving them an opportunity to display their artwork, sell some wares, or serve up some food.
The Insanes Houston Beach Party Concert
Head to Evelyn’s Park on Saturday to enjoy this free acoustic concert. The Insanes, five friends and musicians, will cover their favorite songs ranging from the 60s through today. Guests are encouraged to bring their own lawn blankets.
