Girls trip to NYC

For five fabulous days in July, a group of friends, (pictured, from left) Connie Senter, Lauren Reid, Barbara Marcus, Sharon Maloney, Tammy Simi, Lili Rubin, Mady Kades and Mirl Cohen, laughed and toured their way through the Big Apple. They called themselves the “Lombardy Girls” after the hotel. They toured the city non-stop, took an architectural boat tour of the entire Manhattan Island and explored the Tenement Museum, with a pit stop at the famous Katz’s Delicatessen. A highlight was meeting Jake Katz, fourth-generation owner. They also rode on a hop-on hop-off bus, shopped at Henri Bendel, Bloomingdale’s and lots of shoe stores.
