Editor's Note - October 2018
I can’t believe I am admitting this, but it wasn’t until recently that The Buzz office started recycling. During Stephanie Goldfield’s first week at work as an account manager, she asked me where to find the recycling bin. I was embarrassed to tell her we didn’t have one. A few days later, she brought in a bin and taped laminated instructions on the wall with very specific listings of what to include and what to leave out. Every Friday she checks the trash and grades us. I was so sure I would mess up that I even snuck some trash into the can in our garage. Our grades went way up – just in time for our globally aware, award-winning travel writer Tracy Barnett’s new feature about going green. She focuses on Buzz residents passionate about helping the environment. Tracy kicks off the series this month with an article on “plogging” – picking up litter while jogging. We hope you find her stories as motivating as we found Stephanie’s office recycling bin and instructions (and grades). [email protected]
