The middle school students watch in amazement as the cheerleaders rally them together and embody the pride the school has in its football team.
This past week, the Emery/Weiner students have been buzzing with school spirit. The students have long-lived traditions as they prepare for the annual Homecoming game. Each week prior to Homecoming, the students arrange for the whole school to come together and dress to a new theme each day.
The themes this year were future self day, jersey day, and nerd day. This brought a sense of unity and spirit as the whole high school came together and got excited for their football team. To tie spirit week altogether, the cheerleaders put on a pep rally for both the middle schoolers and the upper schoolers. This way, the middle school students can really connect and excitedly anticipate what awaits them in high school. They get an exclusive glimpse at the pride we take in our football team and the undying support that the student body gives them.
