Holding out hope
Brothers Brandon, Drew and Jordan Sorkin (pictured, from left) are practicing baseball at home while the Bellaire Little League season is on hold. Brandon, 12, is on the American League Yankees, and younger brother Jordan, 9, plays for the National League Mets. The youngest Sorkin brother, Drew, 6, is ready to join his teammates on the SMU Mustangs team in the Texas League. They attended the BLL Opening Day ceremony to kick off what should have been the long-awaited spring baseball season, but baseball and most other spring sports will have to wait until the pandemic subsides. BLL coaches are encouraging the players to work on their skills at home.
