Skating at Discovery Green
The ICE at Discovery Green is open on New Year’s Eve from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. This year, tickets must be purchased in advance to minimize overcrowding. Tickets are $15.
Rockin' New Year's Noon at Children's Museum Houston
Celebrate the new year at the Children’s Museum and still make it to bed on time! This end-of-year bash rings in the New Year at the stroke of noon with performances and a ball drop. This event is included in the price of admission ($12) to the museum.
Ring in 2022 at CityCentre
Ring in the new year at noon or midnight at CityCentre. The family-friendly Noon Year’s Eve celebration will feature a live DJ, bubbles, face painting, and a balloon and caricature artist. The evening celebration begins at 9:30 p.m. with live music and ends with a countdown at midnight. Both events are free and open to the public.
POST New Year's Eve Celebration
New Houston venue POST is hosting a NYE celebration with cirque-style performers, live DJs, drinks, and more. Skylawn, the 5.5 acre rooftop park offering panoramic skyline views, is the perfect spot to view fireworks downtown. General admission to Skylawn: $65. There is a limited number of tickets available for this event and no age limit for attendees. Each attendee must have a purchased ticket no matter their age. There will be multiple bars on Skylawn for this special event. Must be 21+ to drink alcohol. Skylawn Tables with Bottle Service are available. Each table includes admission to the event for up to 8 people, seating and bottle service for 1 bottle of liquor and 2 bottles of champagne. These tables have the best view of the midnight firework show. The 1st and 2nd levels inside of the building are free and open to the public.
An Irish-Style New Year's Eve
Ring in the new year a little early - on Irish time. Enjoy traditional Irish music by Ulla, joined by Piper Jones. The evening performance is synced with the New Year’s drop in Ireland, which takes place around 5 p.m. in Houston. Table for 4: $120.
The INFINITE
Be one of the first in Houston to experience the hour-long immersive virtual reality adventure to the International Space Station and back. The INFINITE is open on New Year’s Eve from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tickets are $45 for adults and $20.50 for children.
Rockets vs. Miami Heat
Root for the Houston Rockets as they face the Miami Heat on New Year’s Eve at the Toyota Center. New Year's Eve special includes one ticket and two beverages starting at $21.
New Year’s Eve at Kemah
Ring in the New Year with family fun and fireworks! The fireworks show starts at 10 p.m.
New Year's Comedy Laugh Fest
Comedians Bruce Bruce, D.L. Hughley, Eddie Griffin, Nephew Tommy, and Earthquake are coming to the Smart Financial Centre for New Year's Comedy Laugh Fest. Tickets begin at $59.
New Year's Eve All Access Pub Crawl
Hop around and ring in the new year at multiple venues around Houston. Start at The Garden HTX for check-in between 5-9 p.m. and then check out other NYE events nearby. Tickets: $19.99/Pub Crawl Pass (check-in 5-9 p.m.); after-party at The Garden: $29.99
New Years Bash 2022 at The Secret Group
The Secret Group hosts a NYE celebration starting at 7 p.m. until 2 a.m., including a $1,000 balloon drop, ticket giveaways, and drink specials. The event is free with RSVP before 11 a.m. and $10 after 11 p.m. VIP tickets are $60 for 2 including access to the VIP lounge and a bottle of champagne.
NYE Cidercade Houston Bash
Celebrate 2022 with arcade games, food trucks, drinks, confetti cannons, and a midnight toast. Cidercade Houston's NYE bash (21+ only) takes place 7 p.m.-1 a.m. Tickets are $40 for General Admission and $50 for Early Bird Admission. Tickets will not be sold at the door.
New Year’s Eve at Last Concert Cafe
Enjoy a rock 'n' roll NYE celebration at Last Concert Cafe with The Hightailers and Griffin Swank. Doors open at 7 p.m. and music starts at 8 p.m. Tickets: $15-25.
Year of the Unicorn at El Big Bad Margarita Bar + Kitchen
El Big Bad is hosting its annual 21+ NYE fiesta, Year of the Unicorn. Tickets include a complimentary buffet, 8-10 p.m.; a complimentary champagne toast; the unicorn piñata “ball drop,” unicorn costume contest, live music, and their popular The Unicorn cocktail (a margarita with an upside-down bottle of Korbel in it). Tickets range from $25-150; Additional features for the "inclusive ticket" option.

Downtown Aquarium Restaurant
Ring in the New Year with the Downtown Aquarium’s mascot, Sharkey! Celebrate with a delicious buffet, balloon drop, contests & giveaways for the kids! Reservations are required, so reserve a spot here.
H Town Restaurant Group
Backstreet Café, Hugo’s, Caracol, and Xochi will have a four-course menu for $79 per person ($85 for Caracol) plus tax, gratuity and beverages. Reservations are highly recommended.
New Year's Eve Bash at B&B Butchers
B&B Butchers is hosting a New Year's Eve celebration on Friday, 5 p.m.-1 a.m., including delicious food, drinks, party favors, and live music. There is no ticket fee or prix-fixe menu; guests can order off the regular dinner menu. Reservations are required; call 713-862-1814 or book via OpenTable. B&B is also offering a New Year's Day Hangover Cure Brunch, 11 a.m.-3 p.m., including live music, brunch dishes, and more.
Bloom & Bee
Celebrate 2022 at Bloom & Bee with a special three-course menu featuring Cauliflower Bisque with Scallops and Caviar, 12-hour cured Foie Gras, Miyazaki A5 Wagyu, Pan-Seared Halibut and more.
Liberty Kitchen Oysterette
Both locations are offering a three-course NYE menu for $125/person. Dishes include a lobster bisque appetizer, choices of filet mignon with jumbo shrimp or lobster thermidor, chocolate covered strawberry chantilly or red velvet cheesecake, plus wine pairings.
Ninfa's
Seafood paella from Ninfa's sounds like a good way to start off 2022! This flavorful dish includes poblano and papilla peppers, mussels and shrimp, and more, with a mixture of Mexican and Tex-Mex flavoring and French-style cooking techniques. URBE
Party at URBE from 7 to 10 p.m. with a DJ, passed bites and dessert station. Tickets are $75 and include 4 drink tickets with cash bar afterwards.
