Small steps, big help

Event chairs Chris and Kristy Bradshaw, Carolyn and Garry Tanner and Kathleen and Townes Pressler were among those who enjoyed the 2022 Small Steps Wine Classic at the Bayou Club. Guests enjoyed a five-course meal paired with wine selections made by the evening’s sommelier, Underbelly Hospitality founder and head chef, Chris Shepherd. The event raised more than $850,000 for Small Steps Nurturing Center to help continue operating two preschools for economically at-risk children living in the Fifth Ward and Gulfton/Sharpstown communities. Townes Pressler, who was on the Board of Directors from 2011- 2017, was honored for his long-time commitment to Small Steps Nurturing Center.
