Mixers & Elixirs at the Museum of Natural Science
The Museum of Natural Science is hosting its fan favorite Mixers & Elixirs night on Friday starting at 7 p.m.. This event is perfect for the braniacs looking to have a scintillating night filled with signature drinks and dancing. Tickets are available at the door and online starting at $20 for members and $25 for nonmembers.
Astros vs. Athletics
Take yourself out to the ball game this weekend and go root for the Astros at Minute Maid Park as they take on the Oakland Athletics on Friday at 7:10 p.m., Saturday at 3:10 p.m., or Sunday at 1:10 p.m. Tickets start at $27.
Movies Under the Stars in Market Square Park
Enjoy a screening of the classic '90s film There’s Something About Mary at Market Square Park on Friday starting at 8:30 p.m. Bring your favorite blanket and snacks to turn the night into a picnic under the stars or purchase food from Niko Niko’s, which will also be selling alcoholic beverages onsite.
Comicpalooza
Texas’ biggest pop culture celebration is coming to the George R. Brown Convention Center, Friday-Sunday, and is bringing a host of interactive entertainment, including celebrity guests such as The Magicians’ Hale Appleman and Summer Bishil and The Boys’ Karen Fukuhara. In addition to panels with the stars, con-goers will be able to enjoy exhibitions and potentially purchase fandom centric collectible items, art, and jewelry. Tickets start at $25 and be sure to check the website for when your favorite celebrities will be in attendance.
Summer Species Events: Pollinator Walks
Starting at Lost Lake in Buffalo Bayou Park, Dr. Gabriela Sosa will be leading all who are interested in learning about our city’s vibrant pollinators on a nature walk on Saturday at 9 a.m. Together you will observe the indigenous flora that our beautiful bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds tirelessly pollinate as they do their best to keep our ecosystem intact.
Houston Dash vs Chicago Red Stars
Come watch the Houston Dash take on the Chicago Red Stars at PNC Stadium on Saturday, 7:30 p.m. Tickets start at $12.
Bellaire Little League in the Texas East State Tournament
Bellaire Little League's 11U will play Game 1 of the Texas East State Tournament on Saturday, 8 p.m. in Tyler, TX vs. vs Washington Co. LL. Kids Let’s Party! Fest
Kids won't want to miss the Kids Let's Party fest, the ultimate anti-bullying music festival for kids! The festival takes place at Levy Park, July 17, starting at 12 p.m. Tickets start at $24.99 or a family pack special (five tickets) can be purchased for $99. All superstar kids are especially encouraged to sign up for their emerging artists program and to perform on stage at the event.
