Hurricanes hit Florida
This summer, the 12U Hurricanes, an AA baseball team, competed in the Perfect Game Regional World Series in Destin. The team had been practicing hard all spring and played numerous local tournaments in preparation for the tournament. After a slow start in pool play, the Hurricanes knew they needed to refocus on baseball. The boys were able to bounce back in the tournament, catching fire and advancing to the championship game of the silver bracket. In a back and forth final for the ages, the Hurricanes lost 13-12. When not on the baseball diamond, the boys enjoyed a week of fishing, beach time, and boating to Crab Island.
