The Friends of the Spring Branch Memorial Library's Plant and Book Festival offers spring bedding plants, house plants, gently used books, vinyl records, and CDs. The popular Coupon Board is returning this year, offering attendees opportunities to purchase gift cards from local restaurants and retailers. Other items created by the library’s crafting group and 3D printer will also be for sale. All funds raised at the festival directly benefit the library's programs and services.

The popular Bayou City Art Festival returns downtown this weekend, showcasing the works of 250 artists in 19 categories. Enjoy live entertainment stages, food trucks, a craft beer and wine garden, and the Active Imagination Zone. The featured artist is Gwendolyn Redfern, a watercolor painter from Raleigh, NC.

Memorial Villages Police Foundation presents the annual Memorial Villages Food Truck Rodeo, Sat., March 29 at Chapelwood United Methodist Church. Enjoy a family-friendly day including inflatables, face painters, axe throwing, and a variety of food trucks offering delicious eats, in support of Memorial Villages Police Department.

Aurora Picture Show and Buffalo Bayou Partnership co-present this free annual event featuring video activations on structures along the Buffalo Bayou East waterfront. Houston artists Saúl Hernández-Vargas, Diana-Sofia Estrada, and Isogram Media Studio have been commissioned to create new, site-specific media installations along a half-mile stretch of bayou trails. There will also be a market featuring local food trucks, vendors, and music. Note: Parking for this event is extremely limited; rideshare, carpooling, public transportation, cycling, and walking are encouraged.
21st Annual Run for the Rose

The Dr. Marnie Rose Foundation (DMRF) hosts the 21st Annual Run for the Rose, including a certified 5K Run, Family 1K Run, Survivor Stroll, and Post-Race Party for all participants. The Run for the Rose is the primary fundraiser for the Dr. Marnie Rose Foundation. The two-fold mission of the DMRF is to eradicate brain cancer through research, advocacy, and awareness, and to improve the lives of pediatric patients. Funds raised from the Run for the Rose are directed toward these initiatives. The Dr. Marnie Rose Foundation was established by the Rose family in 2002 to honor the memory of their beloved daughter and sister, a pediatric physician and brain cancer patient.

For this one day of the year, dogs are welcomed at Evelyn’s Park. In addition to the monthly artisan and small business market, the park will have dog vendors and rescue organizations (Houston Cares Animal Rescue, Twilight Tails Animal Rescue, Waiting Under The Willow Foundation Animal Rescue). Jump in for special dog agility performances at 1 and 3 p.m. hosted by Little MonStar's Training Academy. The "Canine Catwalk” with DJ Chris Bell will begin at 2 p.m. at the Trevilion off of Bellaire Blvd.

The 2025 Texas Children's Houston Open is underway at Memorial Park Golf Course, featuring top golfers such as Scottie Scheffler and Rory McIlroy and many others. Fans and families will enjoy watching the tournament and fun activities throughout the course, including the Texas Children's Family Fun Zone, located near hole 18, which offers kid-friendly activities like miniature golf, photo ops with kid-sized golf carts, a golf-themed coloring wall, and interactive games.
