Happy Friday! It’s the weekend before Thanksgiving and in between all of our holiday food prep and planning, there are so many festive events going on.

Fri., Nov. 21-Mon., Feb. 16. Hours vary. This weekend, open Friday, 5-10 p.m., Sat., 11 a.m.-11 p.m., and Sun., 11 a.m.-8 p.m.

It's opening weekend for the Ice at Discovery Green! Glide under the glittering lights of downtown. The Ice will be open through Feb. 16 and includes themed nights like Skate with Santa or DJ Skate nights.

It's also Opening Weekend for Zoo Lights, open through Jan. 4. Explore a dazzling winter landscape filled with fantastical bursts of color, immersive light displays, and festive experiences for all ages. As the Zoo transforms into a nighttime holiday spectacular, visitors will journey through vibrant realms like the Enchanted Forest, marvel at the shimmering Iridescent Immersion, and sip hot chocolate by cozy s’mores stations. Santa returns to his workshop through Dec. 23, and new features like Wild Wonder Lights and the Neon Playground promise surprises around every corner.

Astros Light Up the Park presented by Houston Methodist, an all-new holiday celebration, will transform Daikin Park into a one-of-a-kind, immersive winter wonderland. This festive experience debuts this Sat., Nov. 22 and runs through Jan. 4. Astrog Light Up the Park features a winding path of holiday lights and music that takes guests through the stadium concourse, down to the service level, and finishes with a spectacular stroll across the field. The experience will include Astros- and Houston-themed light displays, adding a local flair to the festive atmosphere. In addition, there will be photo opps with Santa and Orbit, a festive holiday menu, and more.
