Walking for Claire

Condit Elementary alumni got together to support the Houston Alzheimer’s Association Walk in honor of Claire Kugler, who is suffering from early-onset Alzheimer’s disease. The Condit Cat Alumni team (pictured) was organized by Claire’s children, Ben and Lainey, who coordinated their childhood friends and Condit teachers to raise money for the citywide walk. Team Condit Cat Alumni hosted a spirit-night reunion with longtime teachers, former students, and parents at Tapester’s Grill, and raised more than $2,400 to support Alzheimer’s Association initiatives. An additional team in Claire’s honor, Team Claire, was one of the top-raising individual teams, collecting more than $56,000.
