Bayou Bend Presents Annual Texas Children’s Art Festival
On Sunday, May 21, Bayou Bend presents a free family-friendly afternoon celebrating art that helps forge a connection to Texas and American heritage. Visitors are invited to participate in art-making workshops, a collaborative group art project, and interactive games. Demonstrations will emphasize how art connects individuals to the past, improves the future, and plays an important role in preservation.
Bayou Bend serves as the focal point for the style, medium, and period of art represented at the event. Visitors can explore the first floor of Ima Hogg’s historic house, which will be open for tours led by the Houston Junior Woman’s Club, and enjoy live music on the Diana Terrace.
