Celebrate Cinco de Mayo at Discovery Green. A collaboration between Discovery Green and Kinder High School for the Performing and Visual Arts (Kinder HSPVA), the event celebrates Mexican culture and heritage with a lineup of live music and traditional dance.  
 
Bombón’s La Comadre (Mel Gomez) and DJ Gracie Chavez will emcee the afternoon of performances: a Selena tribute by Amanda Solis, dancing by J-Dance Company and Ballet Folklorico Herencia Mexicana de Houston, singing by Kirsten G, a play by Nueva Luna Ballet Folklorico and a headlining performance by Kinder HSPVA Mariachis.  
  
Blankets, lawn chairs and picnics are welcome; food, beer and wine are available for purchase on site from The Grove and Lake House Cafe. No glass containers or outside alcoholic beverages allowed.
