FUNomenal Friday

Girls Inc. of Houston will host hands on activities beginning at 12 p.m. (limited quantities available). Crafts include straw rockets and owl pellets. 

11:30 – 11:50 a.m.: HGOco’s First Songs: Young children from birth to preschool age, along with their caregivers will learn soothing songs through the joy of reading. A teaching artist will help participants use music as a tool to interact with their young ones during reading time. 

12 – 12:50 p.m.: HGOco’s Storybook Opera: An engaging and enjoyable introduction to opera for young children lead by our singing storytellers in 30 minute segments of captivating fun! A variety of books, as well as opera themed stories will be told in English and bilingual English-Spanish presentations. 

12-2 p.m.: Meet and greet some of your favorite princesses from A Charmed Affair Houston Princess Parties. (located on the Compass Lawn along the McNair Jogging Trail)

12-4 p.m.: Foam party with Houston Party Rental Inc. and Lone Star Parties (located on the Waterside Landing). The Houston Public Library Express at Discovery Green will be open 

1:30 – 2:15 p.m.: Discover how much fun you can have with the fundamentals of physics and chemistry with Mad Science during their “Spin, Pop, Boom!” show. (located on the Anheuser-Busch Stage)
