H-E-B Movie Night at Discovery Green
Houstonians are invited to H-E-B’s Movie night at Discovery Green. This double feature movie night overlooking the Downtown Houston skyline will showcase a short documentary onf “Plumshuga,” a new play about the first Black lead ballerina in a major U.S company, Houston’s own Lauren Anderson. After the viewing, Anderson will be joined by the play's author and former Houston poet laureate, Deborah D.E.E.P Mouton, and Stages Theater director Eboni Bell Dary for a question-and-answer session.
After the informative Q&A, Houstonians will enjoy “Fame!”, the classic film from 1980 that chronicles the lives of teenagers at a New York High School for students gifted in performing arts.
