Memorial Villages Fourth of July Celebration

The Matlack family (Aaron holding Victoria and Christy holding Lane) come every year. The kids like the face painting and pony rides the best.
Face painting, photo booth, pony rides, a bouncy house and more combined with free sno cones, watermelon, cookies, pizza and hot dogs with music in the background and an occasional squirt from the fire truck made for a memorable 4th of July event at Memorial Drive Baptist Church. The festivities started with a parade that went down Piney Point with all Memorial Villages being represented by a float.
Norma and Victor Alvarez (judges - shh, it's a secret) explained the criteria. The winner was the City of Bunker Hill's float as it met all the criteria - a patriotic theme, quality of the execution, excitement, (a cannon went off a few times and the tow truck was done well too) and the overall effect.
